There was no shortage of spirit, generosity and community momentum on display during the 2025 TGS Foundation Giving Day, which raised almost $260,000 thanks to the incredible support of over 500 donors—and with pledges still coming in.

Held over 24 hours from 12 to 13 June, the campaign once again demonstrated what’s possible when the Trinity Grammar School community comes together not just with each other, but for each other.

Now in its fourth year, the Giving Day campaign has become a focal point for the School’s philanthropic efforts through the Trinity Grammar School Foundation, specifically the Scholarship Trust, which provides transformational opportunities for boys whose families would not otherwise be able to afford a Trinity education.

Headmaster Tim Bowden said the day was a testament to the deep values of the School community.

“This result is about far more than the dollars raised,” he said.

“It reflects a shared belief in the power of education to change lives. We are deeply grateful to every person who contributed—whether with a gift, time, or encouragement. Your support has a direct and lasting impact on real students with real stories.”

That impact is already being felt. Thanks to the funds raised over recent years, seven Foundation Scholars commenced in Trinity’s Middle and Senior Schools, with further opportunities now in reach.

The campaign theme—Trinity Together—was brought to life not just through donations, but also through volunteer efforts and enthusiastic engagement from staff, students, alumni, and families past and present. Throughout the 24-hour campaign, Primary students made gold coin donations for wearing House colours; Junior School had a spirited House basketball competition; Prep Primary students dropped into Giving Day HQ to share what Trinity means to them, and School leaders shared stories of how scholarships have changed the trajectory of a young person’s life.

Director of Development Leanne Dib said she was inspired by the response from the community—and excited about what comes next.

“Giving Day is a unique opportunity to rally around a clear goal, and this year our community stepped up in remarkable ways,” she said.

“Many of our donors gave again, others increased their gift, and some gave for the very first time. Every single contribution matters—and when combined, the result is extraordinary. That’s the power of Trinity Together.”
